In a previous work published in Internoise 2015, the authors conducted a theoretical and experimental study, which shows a measuring method of road traffic noise on the glass panes of the windows of a high-rise building using general acoustical sensors and a triaxial vibration sensor. In this paper, the authors continue the previous work, by using two triaxial vibration sensors set in different positions of window glass panes including single and double glazing in three high-rise buildings respectively, where the noises are air-borne by the heavy traffic of three viaduct-surface combined roads. The vibration levels away from and near the edge of the window frames are compared by experimental results. This study is helpful to determine how to easily and quickly set a unique triaxial vibration sensor in place to decrease measurement errors and avoid resonance effects.
