Bioresponsive Microspheres for On-demand Delivery of Anti-inflammatory Cytokines for Inflammatory Arthritis

These results demonstrate that cross-linked gelatin u.Sp can be used to deliver anti-inflammatory cytokines locally to treat IA. Also, the flare-dependant degradation and release of 1L-4 and 1L-13 by the activated cells can be harnessed to minimize unnecessary drug release during periods of low disease activity thus enhancing their therapeutic effect.
