摘要

We demonstrated that PEG-PPS micelles and PEG-OES nanofibers can solubilize and release FDA approved anti-inflammatory drugs (Dexa and CsA) in a sustained manner. We also showed that our LISAI platform targets activated macrophages and T cells counteracting their negative effects on islet functionality. We believe our LISAI platform can address current challenges of islet transplantation in type 1 diabetes and will be tested in vivo in murine models of pancreatic islets transplantation.
