摘要

The projected core density in future processor chip creates pressing demand to improve computing energy efficiency. The challenge lies in delivering more accurate on-die supply voltage. The conventional discrete voltage regulator based power delivery becomes very inadequate. Breakthroughs in high frequency power stage design, integrated magnetic inductors, and silicon capacitors enables IVR based integrated power delivery architecture for future processor's energy efficiency need.
