Physicochemical properties 2,2 dinitro-1,3-bis-nitrooxy-propane have been studied. The glass temperature, temperature and enthalpy of thermal decomposition, saturated vapor pressure and enthalpy of evaporation, thermal stability of 2,2 dinitro-1,3-bis-nitrooxy-propane have been determined using differential scanning calorimeter and thermogravimetric analysis module. The glass temperature is -81°C. The temperature and enthalpy of decomposition are 193°C and 342 J/g. An equation has been derived for the constant of 2,2 dinitro-1,3-bis-nitrooxy-propane thermal decomposition. Factor k_0= 6.32×10~(12) s~(-1) and activation energy of thermal decomposition E =130.97 kJ/mol. The 2,2 dinitro-1,3-bis-nitrooxy-propane are completely thermodynamically compatible with polyurethane, divinylnitrile rubbers and polyvinilnitrate.
