A series of conjugated Schiff bases compounds have been synthesized and characterized by 1H, UV–Vis absorption spectroscopy and by nonlinear optical (NLO) measurements. These compounds were synthesized by condensation of amines with carbonyl compounds. The cubic nonlinear optical properties of this series of organic compounds were investigated by using the third harmonic generation (THG) measurements carried out on thin films at λ = 1064 nm.
