The purpose of this study is to examine to the high-performance non-contact magnetic actuation by using a brand new Halbach array constructed with cylinder-shaped permanent magnets having the characteristics of magnetic field control and constitutive flexibility. In a brand new Halbach array using cylinder-shaped permanent magnets, by synchronized rotation in the same direction with of all magnets, the slide of the magnetic field distribution has been confirmed by quasi static measurement. Recently, by an actual test model of the cylinder-shaped permanent magnet type linear Halbach array with synchronized rotation mechanism, continuous slide of the magnetic field distribution is confirmed. The synchronous rotation mechanism of this test model is a mechanical drive by meshing gears. The latest measurement result shows that the characteristic of the magnetic field slide is also reflected by the backlash of the gear and the magnetic interaction of the arranged permanent magnets. On the other hand, in preliminary experiments using bulk high temperature superconductor, it is also possible to observe non-contact move in synchronization with slide of the magnetic field.
