Chinese orchestra were spread from Mainland China to Taiwan after 1949. Under the active promotion of the government, Chinese orchestra have been widely accepted by various social classes and developed popularly. Because students participating in Chinese orchestra clubs have to purchase musical instruments and spend spare time on practice, this study intends to use system dynamics to investigate the influence of the price of musical instruments and afterschool practice time on the operation of Chinese orchestra clubs. The research results showed that, the price of musical instruments affects the willingness to participate in Chinese orchestra clubs. When the price of a musical instrument is low, the parents tend to have less burden and the students have higher willingness to participate in Chinese orchestra clubs. Moreover, the length of practice time also has a significant effect on learning effectiveness. Longer practice time leads to higher learning effectiveness.
