Providers of electricity give the opportunity for the industry to utilize the transmission network through power wheeling mechanism. As a result, power wheeling cost have to calculate. Moreover, contingency is an unpredictable condition of power system especially in Jawa-Bali Transmission system, then power wheeling cost changes due to contingency are discussed in this paper. In this study, the changes of power wheeling cost are calculated using Kirschen tracing methods with Matpower application program. Kirschen tracing method determines the contribution of wheeling generator through the certain domain, common and links calculated by optimal power flow algorithm. Contributions of wheeling generator were used to calculate the cost. Numerical simulations show that some domains present the number of lines involved in the power wheeling process. The fewer domain member will generate power wheeling at a lower cost.
