The performance of Adhoc Network is affected due to high energy consumption and high mobility. This will sometimes lead to problems like packet loss, overhead, delay and other parameters. Overall, QoS for adhoc network will be the main area which needs attention. To deal with these kinds of problems, this paper proposes a delay and energy aware protocol using optimization algorithm. In this work, accumulated delay (ADelay) is calculated for each node and for energy efficiency a new enhanced GA-EMPSO algorithm which is a hybrid combination of GA and PSO is used to select the efficient path for data transmission. To analyze the performance of this algorithm experiment is done under different parameters and performance is measured on the basis of different performance metrics.
