This paper introduces the automatic plant start-up and stop control system of 1000 MW ultra supercritical secondary reheat coal-fired unit of Huadian Laizhou Power Generation Co., Ltd. The design framework, start-up conditions, functional group design, breakpoint design and control functions of the shutdown system (APS), and the feedwater control based on enthalpy control are optimized. The application results show that the operation of APS system greatly shortens the start-up and shutdown time of the unit, improves the correctness and standardization of the start-up and shutdown of the unit, and has better economic benefits.
