In this paper, the optimal operation of regional integrated energy system(RIES) considering energy storage(ES) and conversion is studied. Firstly, the basic model of regional integrated energy system is established, and then the models of energy storage, power to gas(P2G) and electric heat pump(EHP) are established. Four scenarios are put forward according to the energy storage and conversion devices. Examples are established to model and solve the optimization operation problem of regional integrated energy system. The comparison results of system cost, energy efficiency and carbon emission under four scenarios are obtained. The results show that the EHP model has the lowest cost and the highest energy efficiency, but the worst environmental efficiency. The scenarios with energy storage and conversion are superior to the basic model in terms of cost and energy efficiency. This paper makes a comparative analysis of three modes of energy storage and conversion and their roles and basic models in RIES optimal operation, which has practical guiding significance.
