The Status Analysis and Development Outlook of the Regional Multi-Energy System (RMES)

With the wide integration of the renewable energy, the comprehensive combination of the different energies in the customer side has been becoming the typical trend in the future. In this paper, the key technologies and typical demonstrations of the Regional multi-energy system (RMES) planning are analyzed. First of all, the background of the construction of the RMES is briefly introduced. Then, the basic and operating characteristics of the RMES are proposed. Furthermore, the wide application planning software named BoFit for the RMES is introduced in detail. Moreover, the completed typical demonstrations of BoFit are listed. In addition, the supporting technologies for the RMES planning and operating are presented based on the summary of the existing academic achievements. The theoretical analysis can provide the reference for planning and designing the RMES in the future.
