The Study of Filter Design for a Circular Waveguide

摘要

Numerous different pipes are manufactured in the industrial production. These pipes can be used for transmitting information at long distances provided that a special device for TE01 wave excitation and its filtering from parasitic modes. This article analyzes the structures of filters used for attenuating waves propagating together with TE01 operating wave in the circular waveguide. Advantages or the operating wave as compared to other types of waves propagating in the circular waveguide are briefly considered. Due to the fact that each filter structure has its own peculiarities we analyzed their main advantages and drawbacks. Then the comparative analysis of numerical simulation results was performed.
