In recent years has been suggested that foliar application of HO alleviate symptoms of drought in several crops. The aim of this work was to assess the effect of exogenous HO application on Capsicum annuum L. crop as a protective treatment to further water deprivation. DNA methylation (5-methylcytosine percentage), stomatal density, number of leaves and photosynthetic activity were the variables evaluated.
