In this paper, the passivity problem is investigated for neural networks of neutral type with Markovian jumping parameters and time-varying delay. By applying novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, using reciprocal convex combination method and improved free-matrix-based integral inequality, the delay-dependent criterion for the passivity of the addressed neural networks is established in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs), which can be checked numerically using the effective LMI toolbox in MATLAB. An example with simulations is given to show the effectiveness and less conservatism of the proposed criterion.
