A New Model for PAYD Based on Driver Behavior Analytics

PAYD (Pay as You Drive) models are used in insurance companies to provide better pricing, improve driving safety and reduce traffic accidents. Besides many advantages, data received by PAYD services can cause driver privacy problem such as revealing the daily routines of the driver. In this article, the existing commercial products were examined from the perspective of driver privacy and then privacy friendly PAYD solutions were discussed. Finally, a new solution based on driver behavior was presented.
