Utilization of Semantic Web Rule Language for Tourism Ontology

摘要

Lombok Island is one of the tourist destinations in Indonesia that has the potential to be developed. The world has recognized the magnitude of tourism potential in the island of Lombok by obtaining various awards as “World's Best Halal Tourism Destination.” Lombok tourism promotion must continue to be carried out, in addition to increasing the number of tourists visiting Lombok Island, as well as to improve the welfare of residents who live in the vicinity of tourist attractions. This study aimed to develop an ontology model in the tourism domain, then test the ontology model through the questions commonly asked by users in accessing tourism information. Ontology and rules by semantic web rule language (SWRL) built can help tourists in obtaining information about tourism on the island of Lombok, also one of the ways to promote existing tourism objects so that in the end it will increase the number of tourist visits to the island Lombok. The result of this study is a tourism ontology that uses SWRL to display the required information by the user's wishes.
