摘要

The strong trapping capacity to propagation waves at microwave frequencies has led the evaporation duct to become a significant method realizing beyond-line-of-sight marine communication. The researches on the communication applicants with evaporation ducts are getting much more vital. This article has outlined the basic conception and features of evaporation duct. Next, we summarize the researches of evaporation duct at home and abroad. Combined with the research status, the paper analyzes the feasibility of beyond-line-of-sight communication with duct from five aspects. In addition, combined with the communication model proposed in this work, we discuss the practical applicants of the 4G-LTE system with duct with simulation results. At last, we conclude future research directions of the evaporation duct applied in the communication system.
