Conclusions: PEGylated chitosan could dramatically improve the hydrophilicity of PLCL, and greatly improve its hemocompatibility with less platelet adhesion on P/C:PLCL especially when the ratio was at 1:6. With good property of hemocompatibility, the blend of P/C:PLCL=1:6 has high potential to be used as blood vessel. Following up work will focus on forming the outer side of vascular graft which would enhance smooth muscle cell penetration into the graft to construct smooth muscle layer.
