Injectable and thermosensitive chitosan hydrogels for the prevention of post-operative peritoneal adhesions

Conclusions: We have developed a thermosensitive biodegradable hydrogel that provides an ideal strategy for the prevention of postoperative abdominal adhesion. In vivo assay are in progress to verify its potential for the prevention of tissue adherence and confirm its degradation rate in vivo, which could be further adjusted by changing chitosan degree of deacetylation (DDA).
