In order to improve upon the theory of mixed non-motorized traffic flow, a statistical distribution of vehicle speed and traffic flow models were used for the non-motorized vehicle lanes that had either no segregation, visual segregation, or physical segregation. The first step was using video observation methods to analyze the trend changes of vehicle speed distributions for each of the three kinds of non-motorized vehicle lanes. Secondly, a help file on the traffic flow models of motorized vehicle lanes was referenced to obtain traffic flow models for the three kinds of non-motorized vehicle lanes. The results showed that there was no relation between the speed, density, or flow of non-motorized vehicle lanes under low density and flow conditions, and a negative correlation existed between the speed, density, and flow of the non-motorized vehicle lane when density and flow were high.
