A non-data aided moment-based signal to noise ratio (SNR) estimator is proposed when multiple antenna elements receive linearly-modulated signals with a complex additive white Gaussian noise. Unlike most previous estimators where channel is assumed to be constant throughout the observation period, in this paper, new estimator that assumes correlated time-variant channel is presented. Our estimator exploits the spatial-diversity at the receiver and relies on second-order and fourth-order cross-moments of the received signals. The performances of this algorithm are investigated in terms of normalized mean square error (NMSE) over a wide range of scenarios. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the NDA maximum-likelihood (ML)-based estimator and the moment-based estimators over a wide range of SNRs.
