Research on storing and retrieving problem in a ship block stockyard

摘要

Storing and retrieving problem for assembly blocks in a ship block stockyard is an important operational problem in shipyards. It affects not only the operation efficiency of stockyard but also the productivity and coordination of workshops. This paper formulates a mathematical model with the purpose of reducing unproductive moves in a stockyard. A heuristic approach is proposed combining a relocating strategy based on Tabu search structure.
