This paper presents a study of numerical modeling of the electromagnetic field of the microwave applicator, at drying a refractory material. Ceramic materials have the advantage of heating at high temperatures due to their microstructure and good mechanical properties. Compared with traditional heating methods, the advantage of using microwave is to achieve a uniform heating and the power distributes evenly throughout the mass of the load, from the inside to outside, consuming less power in a relatively short time.
