Due to the large mover mass and the low power density, the development of traditional stator-magnet moving-iron linear oscillatory motor (SMLOM) is hindered. In this paper, a new type of SMLOM is proposed, with simplified structure and low manufacturing difficulty. By multiplying the module, it is also easy to be extended by using the multi-unit method to satisfy the requirement of variable load thrust. In this paper, the structure and principle of the improved SMLOM are described, and a two dimensional analytical model based on the size parameters of the motor is established. The accuracy of the analytical model of the motor is verified by comparing the analytical results of the motor performance parameters with the finite element algorithm (FEA). Based on the deduced analytical model, the dimensional parameters of the motor are optimized by multi-objective orthogonal method, and the modeling analysis is carried out under the on-load condition. Comprehensive simulation results have fully demonstrated the advantage of low thrust harmonic and high power density.
