Psychological Pedagogy for Extended Reality in STEMx Education

This work-in-progress paper describes a project that aims to explore the quality assurance of learning outcomes in extended reality focused on STEMx education and the affordability of Metasystems Learning Design Theory in STEMx from the perspective of psychological pedagogy. Authors contend that extended reality technologies for learning should be contingent on psychological pedagogy requirements to improve metacognitive knowledge, competence, and experience of the learner. To this end, it is proposed a “roadmap” for future research that encompasses studies based on metasystems learning design norms, which integrates psychological pedagogy with actualized research in philosophy, cybernetics, psychology, pedagogy, and management.
