Considering the demand on energy savings in future wireless networks, consumptions on cooperative links between different base stations becomes more and more critical with the rapid development of wireless communication systems. Coordinated Multi-Point Transmission/Reception (CoMP) gradually becomes popular due to the demand of higher transmission rate and more reliable Quality of Service (QoS), but the utilization of cooperative links will bring additional power consumption in signal processing and transmission in system cooperative link. In this paper, we propose a novel energy aware resource allocation scheme in cooperative links to reduce the energy consumption in system backhaul link. Considering the energy saving in cooperative uplink transmission scenario, we propose a novel energy aware resource allocation scheme to reduce energy consumption without losing system performance. First, we group different users in a sub-optimal way by analyzing the distance and the traffic load jointly, then we propose a multi-stage resource allocation scheme in system cooperative link by using the optimal multi-stage cooperative decoding scheme. By reducing the traffic load transmitted in system backhaul, the energy consumption in system backhaul will be reduced significantly. Simulation result indicates that, our proposed method could gain about 32% of the total energy consumption in system cooperative link and the influence to system performance is less than 2%, which could be omitted.
