Bio-inspired Computing is the research area which gets the ideas from biological world. Bio-inspired algorithms are good problem solving techniques, used to tackle the complex optimization problems. Natural disasters are highly dangerous to our humanity. Earthquake, flood, cyclone, drought, tsunami, hailstorm and hurricane are some of the natural hazards which ruin the infrastructure elements and people. This problem can be overcome by smart planning. In this paper, a bio-inspired framework is proposed for solving Disaster Inspection Planning problem. The framework is based on Bat-inspired metaheuristic technique. It is used for optimal block assignment and optimal inspection routing. This problem is tested with the real-time block information of Tirunelveli, Salem and Vellore districts.
