Efficient Approach Determination for Fake Biometric Detection

Biometric systems provide one of the best options for implementing security requirements however they are susceptible to some of the threats such as fraudulent attacks. A reliable and efficient solution is required to overcome this risk. Liveness detection is one of the mechanisms that can be applied to protect against these kind of attacks effectively. A software based protection approach is presented to prevent fraudulent access attempts. The proposed solution is software based. It computes different image quality measures extracted from one image. It also proves to be useful in multisensor scenario. An optimum combination of Image Quality Measures will be determined to make the system more efficient without compromising the accuracy.
