Ergonomic Aspect and Design of Hand Tools in Ceramic Industry Using JACK

摘要

Until recently, ceramic ergonomic researches were an important element in the creation of ceramic products and health-oriented workplaces. However, the ergonomic issue of existing hand tools has finally caused a tipping point in the potentially chronic pain which will result to musculoskeletal dangerous to the workers. Fortunately, integrating human factor into hand tools can make a dramatic difference in avoiding health risks. This study is to correlate hand tools to accommodate the range of dimensions by means of using ergonomic software. The proposed tools design based on the anthropometric dimension of Chinese ceramic workers, indicating that considering ergonomics in the redesign of the tools can increase the comfort and safety of the workers.
