Due to the high toxicity and wide distribution of ochratoxin A (OTA), it's essential to implement the fast and sensitive detection. In this paper, a rapid and sensitive electrochemical immunosensor based on coplanar capacitive array and DNA probes was developed for the detection of OTA. The structure and parameters of the coplanar capacitive array are studied to improve the performance of the immunosensor. The gold electrodes on the surface of the sensor are modified by DNA probes, which can specifically combine with OTA to change the gold electrode surface structure. Consequently, when OTA was detected, the output capacitance will be changed. The results show that OTA could be effectively detected by analyzing the changes of the output capacitance of the immunosensor. This work demonstrates that the capacitive immunosensor provided a simple, fast and sensitive detection of OTA. Furthermore, the immunosensor could be effectively applied in other small-molecule substance detection according to the different modification.
