The virtual synchronous generator (VSG) control scheme regulates the inverter as a synchronous generator (SG). As the SG plays an important role in the conventional grid by supporting system stability, the VSG can act the same role in a micro-grid. Additionally, the VSG can be more flexible on the parameters setting, such as the virtual inertia. Enlightened by this, a fuzzy controller is proposed with regulating the virtual inertia to enhance the dynamic response of the VSG. At last, the idea is verified by simulations.
