A virtual synchronous motor-based method for controlling the self-adaptive inertia of an IIDG: constructing a self-adaptive virtual inertia and IIDG output frequency model, selecting self-adaptive control sensitivity factors from within the model according to virtual synchronous motor dynamic response characteristics and selecting upper and lower limits of self-adaptive inertia from within the model according to energy storage configuration constraints to obtain an IIDG optimization control strategy. The present invention achieves the control of a grid-connected converter-type distributed power supply such that IIDG output is more stable, and may better cope with interference occurring in a system while simultaneously having the characteristics of small overshoot and a quick response, and having stronger dynamic characteristics. An effective policy is provided for the converter-type distributed power supply in a power distribution network.
