Aiming at the homing guidance of the interceptor against exoatmospheric maneuvering targets, the acceleration requirement for three dimensions true proportional navigation guidance is analyzed and one modified guidance law for releasing acceleration requirement is designed. Firstly, based on the characteristic of relative motion between the interceptor and target during the homing phase, we proposed the concept of zero effort miss vector and built the corresponding relative kinemics equations in terms of magnitude and direction of zero effort miss vector. Second, the acceleration requirements against maneuvering targets are analyzed by theoretical derivation. Thirdly, one modified guidance law for releasing acceleration requirements is designed based on true proportional navigation guidance. At last, simulation results show the acceleration requirement analysis is right and the new guidance law is effective for releasing acceleration requirements.
