SOME CONSIDERATIONS ON THE METHODS OF ANALYSIS OF CLOSED VESSEL TEST DATA

Data obtained from closed vessel tests, performed for nine values of loading densityfrom the range [50,250] kg/m3 with seven tests for the each value of loading density,are analysed to determine the vivacity function. Based on this broad experimentalmaterial the following problems are considered: (i) How large is the random scatter ofthe vivacity function values for nominally the same conditions of the tests? (ii) Can wedetermine the dependence of the burning rate on pressure making use of the vivacityfunctions for various values of loading density? (iii) What is the influence of heat losseson the vivacity function? We find that the form of the vivacity function is highlydependent on the loading density.
