The research of elderly care system based on video image processing technology

摘要

Against lack of time and energy for children to care for the elderly, a monitoring system for elderly people which is based on multi-information fusion technology including video image, sound, infrared and pulse is designed in this essay. Video analysis technology, combined with the data from voice detection, infrared detection and pulse detection, is adopted to realize monitoring elders' living conditions in real time. In case of emergency, the system will achieve the alarming function by sending data to the server and messages to their children through the GPRS (General Packet Radio Service). At the same time the system design the mobile APP (Application) to query status of the old man's life in real time.
