The near-field of a jet-nozzle configuration of Mach 0.75 is simulated using Large Eddy Simulation (LES). The extraction of acoustic far-field is conducted using a permeable Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings (FW-H) integration recently implemented into the commercial CFD code, STAR-CCM+. Validation of numerical methods has been conducted a priori using decaying homogeneous isotropic turbulence (DHIT) and a flat plate boundary layer. Aerodynamic results and predicted sound pressure levels are both in good agreement with experiments and previous simulations. The predicted sound pressure levels using LES are within a 1-2 dB deviation for all measured observer locations.
