This paper proposes an intelligent technique known as Electro-Search Optimization (ESO) for optimal online gain tuning of the integral controller for isolated single area micro-grid. The performance of the suggested adaptive ESO controller is assessed by comparing it with the conventional integral controller and particle swarm optimization (PSO). ESO was utilized to optimize the integral gain controller to adjust the maximum overshoot and settling time for the desired response. System has been tested for various simultaneous step load perturbations (SLP) and changing in PV power source to reveal the effectiveness and robustness of the suggested scheme. Final analysis indicated that system transient performance with the adaptive ESO is more robustness enough to operate under system parameters uncertainties and different operating conditions than PSO and fixed – integral controller.
