Elements of techno-economic modelling planning, provisioning and operation of virtualised networks

With the increasing prevalence of virtualised networks, the scope of network business models is similarly transported to the realm where the software is managed and is either executed or orchestrated. We extrapolate conventional revenue and cost modelling from the hardware and site to value-added IaaS, PaaS and SaaS layers, and use this structure to compare the cost and practicality of building services from products or components.
