摘要

Ability to statistically evaluate a breakdown voltage of gas insulation comes to the fore, thanks to the effort to replace a SF6 with more environmentally friendly gas insulations. For this reason, there is an effort to improve statistical methods and their description of a breakdown voltages. In this article a way to improve ways of choosing an optimal distribution function for fitting performance function of a gas insulation is investigated, through investigating skewness parameter of measured data and its influence on choosing a distribution function.
