Partial differential equation based image edge enhancement and its application in measuring shaft

摘要

In this study, the conventional image edge detection methods for the geometric measurement are first introduced. The problems existing in actual detection, the principles of image denoising based on partial differential equation (PDE), and the local adaptability of nonlinear PDE deployed to complete image filtering, edge sharpening enhancement and edge extraction are then analyzed.. Finally, a linear geometric measurement method based on edge fitting is proposed and applied into the shaft parts measurement on the basis of a self-developed multi-parameter detection system. It was suggested in findings that the proposed measurement method is precise and effective in its detection of such parameters as shaft diameter and parallel degree.
