EDISON Nanophysics: Web-Based e-Learning Platform for Education and Research in Nanoscience

摘要

We have developed a web-based e-Learning service for education and research in nanoscience areas. Being named as EDISON (EDucation-research Integration through Simulation On the Net) Nanophysics, the service framework presents various technology computed-aided design (TCAD) tools, with which users can study fundamentals of physics, explore properties of nanostructure materials, and design semiconductor devices with free and easy access via web-browsers. Here we discuss technical focuses of the EDISON Nanophysics with an introduction of its service-status upon the open of a full service in September 2013.
