By applying Single Chip Processor (SCP) technology, we improve the traditional single-slit diffraction experiment. Both the sampling of experiment data and the output of experiment results can be automatically carried out. The improvement of the experiment is to control motor rotation by Single-Chip-Processor STC89C52, to drive light intensity detection chip moving, and to transfer the data to computer by serial port and achieve the diffraction fringe intensity of real-time display. Compared with the original experiment, the light intensity distribution of single slit diffraction pattern is not only visible, but also the error caused by the manual operation is reduced, which makes the calculation result more accurate and convenient.
