In recent years, there has been a great deal of interest in artificial materials that have negative group delay. This effect can be observed in waveguide structures with resonance elements or in periodic structures made up of split-ring resonators [1] in regions of anomalous dispersion. For radar. applications, it is naturally to use the materials of the second group. Among different structures, ones of disk metal implants immersed into a dielectric host have some interesting properties [2]. But in [2] the case of the disk diameter approximately equal to 0.12 for the higher frequency of consideration have been investigated. We suppose that consideration resonance range in similar structures can give some interesting effects. Thus we are measuring structures with the disc diameter of 6 mm (SUT) and structures formed by water drops with diameter of 5-6 nun in frequency range of 38-52 GHz. Disc positions have not been chosen in points of 2-D grid. The effects of negative group delay in these structures have been investigated using special equipment [3].
