摘要

In this study, the characteristics of radionuclides deposition distribution in Minamisoma Fukushima Japan are investigated. Rain Collection Effect (RCE) is identified as an additional factor to the prevailing meteorological conditions and radioactive plume dynamics at the time of radioactivity release. The pathway of human exposures from radioactive sources of the Fukushima nuclear disaster can be redirected from human food chain with the introduction of growing nonfood Camelina for local farmers. For a sustainable food production, a solar-energy harvesting hydroponics system with limited clean well water is designed as an optimum strategy for people living in long-term radioactive contaminated areas in Fukushima.
