In this article, the writer researches an algorithm of image navigation of smart car and introduces a kind of image navigation algorithm based on image restoration, and resolve the problem that the smart car runs in a wrong way. Firstly, this algorithm preprocesses the video image which is collected by image sensor, including binarization processing, denoising processing and background segmentation processing, so that the clear runway boundary line is available. Then, calculate the boundary equation through the boundary extraction algorithm. Judge the trend of boundary line by extract algorithm, and select the optimum fitting algorithm by the boundary line type. In this paper, the navigation algorithm we studies is more accurate than the others, and improves the ability of analyzing the route by smart car, and makes smart car runs more stably.
