Applying of Quranic Glossary Approach to Improve Indonesian Qur'an Translation Search Engine Performance

This study aims to build a search engine for the Indonesian translation of the Qur'an by implementing the term weighting method and the relevance of quranic glossary. The TF-IDF method is a word weighting method used in this study. The search system is built through several stages, including building corpus, text preprocessing, term weighting, indexing, and ranking. Based on the results of tests with recall & precision, the average indicates that the use of TF-IDF and Qur'anic Glossary has good performance. The test results show an average recall value of 79.3% and an average precision value of 42.5%. Compared to search without quranic glossary that has a recall average value of 62.9% and a precision value of 70.9%.
