This experimental study investigates the effect of vertical strakes on suppression of wing rock of slender delta wing. Free to roll results reveal that the strakes on the windward side do not make any change to wing rock characteristics. Vertical strakes on the leeward side bring in changes in wing rock initiation angle of attack, termination angle of attack and wing rock amplitude. Wing rock can be delayed up to SO angle of attack by placing strake close to the nose, and amplitude of wing rock can be reduced by 100 by positioning the strake at 33% streamwise location. Conical position of the strake pair does not affect the wing rock characteristics. Vertical strake slightly lowers the lift to drag ratio and no alteration in wing rock behaviour is observed during pitching up motion.
