A series of ultraviolet or heat cured silicone and silicone/organic resin systems are examined for the impact of silicone/organic ratio, or silicone resin type on standard properties. In one example, we see that 30% incorporation of the silicone resin results in only 10% reduction in hardness. Working this much silicone into the film will give release, impact resistance and other silicone properties while retaining the good properties of the organic epoxy resin.
